Regular Mode Courses:-

Arpan Institute is a platform where special students are prepared to rehabilitate in the community. In order to mould the personalities of special children at Arpan, special strategies of multidisciplinary team are implemented. Arpan institute is a pioneer to provide Educational and Vocational Training Programme for the Intellectual Disabled children. It is the first Institute of the state to start Diploma Level Training Programme named Diploma in Education Special Education (Mental Retardation) (earlier known as Diploma in Special Education – Mental Retardation) & Degree level courses (B.Ed. in Special Education) recognized by M.D. University & Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi.

The Country faces the challenge of rehabilitating approximately 3 crores of population with special needs. Developing appropriate human resources to address the educational training and rehabilitation needs of the challenged person has been one of the core intervention areas of our Institute. The Institute has started training courses since 193. The trained manpower developed by this Institute has been fully absorbed in Government & Private sector.

Apart from capacity building of in services teachers, Arpan Institute offers special training courses as mentioned below:-

 1. Diploma in Education – Special Education (Mental Retardation):-

A two year regular course (being run since 1993) provide trained manpower to work as Special Educators/ Teachers to work in Special School & Inclusive setup schools. The essential qualification is 10+2 pass with 50% marks. Admission is done on merit basis. Total seats are 30. So far there is 100% placement. The course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi.

2. B.Ed. – Special Education (Mental Retardation):-

 A two year regular course (being run since 2013) provides trained manpower to work as Special Educators/ Teachers to work in Special school and Inclusive setup or Institutions etc. The essential qualification is graduation with 50% Admission is done by the Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak on the merit basis. Total seats are 30. The course is recognised by Rehabilitation Council of India & Maharishi Dayanad University, Rohtak.

Scholarship for Diploma and B.Ed. Students:-

Students who belong to Schedule Caste & Backward Class Category are helped to take benefit of Post Matric Scholarship under Scheme of Government of India, through Distt. Welfare Officer, Rohtak.
